&lt;P&gt;For pin usage, review &lt;A href="https://github.com/nxp-imx/linux-imx/blob/lf-6.12.y/arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx93-11x11-frdm.dts" target="_self"&gt;imx93-11x11-frdm.dts&lt;/A&gt;, most of the pins including GPIO_IO02 are not reserved to use, if you find a pin used you can modify DTS accordingly so you can use it in Cortex-M.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Configuring P11 Expansion Connector Pin as GPIO on FRDM-IMX93 (VS Code)</title>

The read value always returns 0, regardless of what I write.
