i.MX93 M33 lpi2c Master not function

I’m running the lpi2c_interrupt_b2b_transfer_master_cm33 example on the MCIMX93-EVK.

After calling LPI2C_MasterTransferNonBlocking(), the SDA line stays low, and the SCL line keeps clocking continuously.

The clock only stops after I externally pull the SCL pin low, and then SDA goes high again.

Has anyone seen this behavior before or know what might cause it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I tested the same by my side but I had not issues. I connected two i.MX93, one as Master and one as Slave.

I could not replicate your issue.

Is there any step I am missing to replicate your issue?

I am aligned with the same environment and same example:

/SDK_25_09_00_MCIMX93-EVK/boards/mcimx93evk/driver_examples/lpi2c/interrupt_b2b_transfer/master$

Could you test the i2c master without connecting to slave?
I've tested this case with FLEXIO I2c, it would product 8 clock and didn't ack then end the transfer, but the native i2c have the problem.

I've changed to using i2c2

still can't work with LPI2C_MasterTransferNonBlocking(),
only can work with FLEXIO I2C or I2C Polling

The only difference that I did in my environment is putting the SION bit to 1U for SDA and SCL:

IOMUXC_SetPinMux(IOMUXC_PAD_I2C1_SCL__LPI2C1_SCL, 1U);

IOMUXC_SetPinMux(IOMUXC_PAD_I2C1_SDA__LPI2C1_SDA, 1U);
