    <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, it is doable. While MCUXpresso IDE is primarily designed for the GNU toolchain, NXP provides a GHS (Green Hills Software) project export feature within the SDK.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To do this, you must first go to the NXP SDK Builder and specifically select the "Green Hills" toolchain option when building/downloading your SDK for the i.MX RT1170. Once downloaded, you can import the SDK into MCUXpresso IDE. To generate the GHS-specific project files, you would typically use the "Export" wizard or use the standalone Project Generator tool found within the SDK's tools folder to create the .gpj files required for the Green Hills MULTI IDE.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;MCUXpresso does not have compatibility with GHS toolchain, only the ones that you have seen on the SDK builder. If you want to use the RT1170 with GHS, I suggest you contact Green Hills for more information on the BSP for the RT1170 on their IDE instead.&lt;/P&gt;
