Dear NXP Support,

On one of or i.MX8X based products one of our customers want to use CPU Ball L31 UART1_RX as LSIO_PWM1, I did some research on that topics to LSIO PWM in the NXP Community which states device tree nodes for LSIO PWM where given in older Linux kernel versions but it seems the support has been dropped with lf-5.15.y

https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors/Enable-IMX8QXP-LSIO-PWM/m-p/966483

Is there any special reason why the support for LSIO PWM on the i.MX8X has been dropped ?

best regards

Tim

Hello,

There is no a technical reason why it was removed in newer releases, you can use it without issues. Here another example that you can use as reference:

fsl,imx8qxp-pwm lsio_pwm0-7 device tree nodes

Best regards.
