iMX8M Plus Design files to Altium Component footprints

Hi,

I have converted the Allegro design files given by the NXP regarding 8MPLUSLPD4-EVK board to Altium design files. But I came up with a problem related to Component libraries. How can I convert the footprints in *.brd file to Altium *.pcblib (PCB component library file) file?

Hi,

You can create your .pcblib file, create a new library component, then copy component from .pcb to this new library component.

Dear Zhiming_Liu ,

In the design files I only have LAY-46368_A1.brd, SCH-46368_A3.dsn, and sch-46368_a3.opj files. In the design files there is no .pcb file provided. Could you please tell me how to get the pcb component library files for the particular design? I am using Altium Designer tool and these Allegro files are not properly converting to the PCB component library files. (It only converts to PCB layout and PCB schematic)

Hi,

Allegro design files given by the NXP doesn't contain library. You need to create your library based on *.pcb file.

Following are the images of the files that i have imported from the design files given by NXP. I did used Altium Import wizard. what I am missing is .pcblib file.

Did you meant that i need to create the pcblib file based on imported .pcb file in Altium?

Can you guide me how to do that?
