&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For Linux development, you can use the ARM toolchain; however, I recommend generating the Yocto SDK to obtain a fully compatible toolchain for cross-compiling your applications.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can find the Yocto SDK deployment instructions at the following link:&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;I am starting development with the i.MX 8M Plus processor and I need guidance on which SDK/toolchain to use to build my projects and generate binaries that will run on the processor.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For the CORTEX A53&amp;nbsp;(Linux/Android side):&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;-Should I use the NXP BSP for building Linux images and applications?&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;-For application development (e.g., Qt GUI, multimedia), do I use the SDK/toolchain generated from (cross-compilation environment), or is there a separate SDK package?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
