How well can i.MX 8M Quad operates at web browsing?

My goal is to create a device for streaming videos. Either from Youtube, Netflix or Ge Force Now.

By looking at this Youtube video where he shows the performance of Raspberry Pi 3B+: https://youtu.be/e5V3d0n42ck?si=Eyo5SnlmMK_4t6gB&t=540

He shows that streaming at 1080p at Youtube, from a Raspberry Pi 3B+ works very well.

In fact, the Raspberry Pi 3B+ has worse GPU and CPU and Video Processing Unit compared to i.MX 8M Quad.

So is that a proof that i.MX 8M Quad will work very well at web browsing and streaming?

Yes, the MIMX8MQ6DVXXX support HD4Kp60/1080p60 Video Decode, which means it has better video decoding capabilities

Can I have more information about the performance from i.MX8 series at web browsing/streaming videos over ethernet? For example, in which resolution?

A youtube would be perfect, or documented testes.

Hi @Daniel_

There are no such availble resources: youtube or document. As the default BSP doesn't support chromium, i need to recompile it.
