      <title>iMX8M Plus Processor: Factory settings for lock fuses</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We've observed that several of the lock fuses (e.g. BOOT_CFG_LOCK) at address 0x400 are shipped from your factory with override protection (OP) already set. These fuses are shown in Table 5-3 (p 173) of the Security Reference Manual (Document number&amp;nbsp;IMX8MPSRM, Rev 0, 04/2021).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. Can you assure us the iMX8M Plus processors we receive will always have overwrite protection already set? The response that&amp;nbsp;joanxie posted on&amp;nbsp;12-16-2022 says&amp;nbsp;BOOT_CFG_LOCK has always been programmed to 0x10 (OP protection set) but it doesn't say if this will continue to be the case.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. What happens if you write to a fuse to set OP protection but it's already set? We want to set OP + WP protection for BOOT_CFG_LOCK in our products.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Paul&lt;/P&gt;</description>
