imx6sx pcie external reference clk

hi all

in the imx6sx-sdb board, there is an external pcie reference clk ( not populated) . If I add this a part , how should I modify source in linux or u-boot?
In linux 5.15.52, the imx6_pcie_probe function reads ext_osc from device tree, but that's all it doesn't seem to do anything. IMX8M does something

is is possible to use external pcie reference clk in imx6sx
