Hi Team,

I am currently working on the i.MX95 EVK and exploring the appropriate platform and SDK to begin development—specifically targeting the M7 core. As per NXP’s recommendation, I am using the MCUXpresso SDK along with Visual Studio Code and the MCUXpresso extension for development.

According to the application note "Debugging Cortex-M with VS Code (AN14120)", the SEGGER J-Link is required for debugging. However, the application note provides the patch and example setup only for the i.MX8 series and i.MX93. While I understand that the debugging procedure for the i.MX95 is similar to that of the i.MX93, I am unable to find the specific SEGGER J-Link patch for the i.MX95 in the documentation or on NXP's official website.

Could you please help me with the appropriate steps, tools, or patch required to enable development and debugging on the M7 core of the i.MX95?

Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated and will be helpful in proceeding with development smoothly.

Hello @Abinandhan

I hope you are doing very well.

Unfortunately, as the i.MX95 is still in Pre-Production, we have not much information about it.

There is not an Application note or patch prepared fo the i.MX95, so, we need to wait the release to get more information, steps to debug and patches.

Best regards,

Salas.
