Unfortunately, our project is too advanced for us to afford to change IDEs or SDKs.
We use the MCU-LINK debugger.
We only observe the problem with the watchdog active and only with watchdogs 1 and 2.
We don't have the problem if we use the RT watchdog (watchdog 3).

Hello,

We have installed watchdog timer 1 in our application.
It works correctly, but debugging has some issues.
The breakpoints work fine, but the single-step mode is giving an error.

our watchdog configuration :

SDK 2.15
MCUXpresso 11.9.1

Hi @Gaetan,

Do you see issues with single step only when watchdog is enabled? Or also when it is disabled? What debugger are you using (MCU-Link, J-Link, etc.)? Are you certain this debugger is updated to the latest firmware version? Please try updating your debugger to the latest version.

BTW, speaking of latest firmware versions, note that SDK 2.15 is over a year old now and might have bugs or issues. I highly recommend you update to the latest SDK version (25.03.00). In order to use this SDK, you will also require the latest IDE version (v24.12.148).

I understand that you are not able to upgrade SDK on this specific project. In this case, I would recommend you stick to the WDT that does not show this error (WDT3 in this case).
