Hi,

I was wondering if there were any plans to update the i.MX 8 GStreamer User Guide?

It would be great to have an updated version of this document to reflect the very powerful capabilities in the i.MX 8 M Plus and NXP's pioneering work in upstreaming the device tree for the i.MX 8M Plus since v2.0 of this document was written in September 2020.

Would it be possible for NXP to consider writing an "i.MX 8 libcamera User Guide" or an updated version of the "i.MX 8 GStreamer User Guide"?

The two MIPI CSI-2 interfaces on the i.MX 8 M Plus and it's very strong ISP (Image Signal Processor), hardware video encoder and NPU (Neural Processing Unit) give it an exceptionally strong video pipeline and an industry-leading position in efficient processing of video and efficient application of neural networks to video. This position of leadership looks set to continue with the preproduction i.MX 95 so it would be wonderful to have more documentation on taking full advantages of these capabilities through libcamera or GStreamer.

I was wondering how things were going with a possible update to the i.MX 8 GStreamer User Guide that Marco @marco_antonio_franchi and Pedro @pedro_jardim wrote in 2020?

The video pipeline of the i.MX 8 series - in particular is world-leading and it would be great to have an update to the .MX 8 GStreamer User Guide to cover advances over the last 5 years.

It would also be wonderful to know if there are plans to prepare an updated version of the GStreamer User Guide for the i.MX 95 ?

I second this. I'm using the guide right now with IMX8M Mini EVK and it could use some improvement.
