Bitbake for imx-full-image is failing for FRDM imx93 development board

Hello,

I am trying to build imx-full image using bitbake for imx93, i am following steps mentioned on the getting started page-3 of nxp frdm board imx93.

I am getting the following error:

I am using Ubuntu 24.04 (i know it's recommended to use Ubuntu 22.04, but i am instructed to perform all steps on 24.04). The error seems to be related to a missing patch file. I searched the patch file on my system, but can't find it. Also, i checked if the /frdm-imx93/tmp/work/armv8a-poky-linux/voiceui-voiceplayer/1.0/git git folder was upto date or not, but it is

Earlier i was getting error in qt_base module (logs for that present in attached file), so i resolved that by removing ptest from /frdm-imx93/conf/local.conf file.

Do you have the needed packages to compile the Yocto Project?

Try updating and installing the the needed packages with the next commands:

$ sudo apt update $ sudo apt upgrade -y $ sudo apt install gawk wget git diffstat unzip texinfo gcc build-essential chrpath socat cpio python3 python3-pip python3-pexpect xz-utils debianutils iputils-ping python3-git python3-jinja2 python3-subunit zstd liblz4-tool file locales libacl1

What are the full steps that are you following to compile for frdm board?

To compile without errors we recommend 4GB of ram for each core of your computer.

You can limit the tasks to compile adding the next lines to your local.conf file

BB_NUMBER_THREADS = "4"
PARALLEL_MAKE = "-j 4"

Hello Chavira,

I have already installed the mentioned packages while setting up the system for Yocto.

I have tried parallel threads in combination of 4,8 and 12. But I am getting same errors.

I am not able to try in Ubuntu 24 since my VM is Ubuntu 22 and is compiling without errors, please try installing Ubuntu 22
