EdgeLock_SetClock(kCLOCK_EDGELOCK_ClockRoot_MuxOscRc400M, 2); Crashs my debug whenever it is called in an example project. I'm using this sdk com.nxp.mcuxpresso.sdk.sdk_2.x_mimxrt1180-evk_p2site_2.16.100.2019112514465377118357287039883

Thank you for your interest in the NXP MIMXRT product, I would like to provide service for you.

I import SDK demo "evkmimxrt1180_rgpio_led_output_cm7", using MIMXRT1180-EVK board, SDK version is 2.16, MXUXPresso IDE is 24.9.25. I download the program, EdgeLock_SetClock function was called, and project works normal, So please check next points:

1: Please check your board Boot mode setting and other board setting.

2:Please make sure your Board , MCUXPresso IDE , SDK is matched.

I'm using the default jumper configuration, I'm following the guidance from those documents. I'm using the MIMXRT1180-EVK board with the following tags on the back; SCH-50577 REV B and 700-50577 REV x5. The SDK version is 2.16, MCUXpresso IDE is 24.9.25. I was using the evkmimxrt1180_rgpio_led_output_cm33 project but I have tried around 10 example projects and they all work only if I comment out the EdgeLock_SetClock function. I have tried the evkmimxrt1180_rgpio_led_output_cm7 project. I'm using the LinkServer MCU-Link USB.

I have attached my setup as well as where I break point at and what error I get after I hit continue

I did a little more digging.

The kCLOCK_RootEdgelook div is 3 and kCLOCK_RootEdgelook mux is 1 on boot

Inside of ELE_BaseAPI_ClockChangeStart
S3MU_SendMessage comes back as successful however
the response from ele_mu_get_response_baseapi contains 0xf429 at rmsg[1] instead of 0xd6 (RESPONSE_SUCCESS).

Hi Jett, your chip is PIMXRT1189CVMBA, means Silicon Rev is A0.

I consulted an RT1180 series expert, His response was "The RT1180 A0 chip cannot use the latest SDK library, and the latest SDK library can be used by the RT1170 B0 ".
