.MX8MP doesn't support virtual channels.

We're currently working on an application where we need to use multiple cameras and stream from them simultaneously. We're planning to use FDP Link or GMSL cameras for this. However, we've noticed that the i.MX8MP doesn't support virtual channels.

I have a couple of questions:

What are the limitations with the i.MX8MP in this context?
Is there another MPU recommended by NXP that could handle this better?

We already have a product using the i.MX8MP, so any suggestions would be really helpful. If you could provide specific feedback regarding the i.MX8MP, that would be great.

As you mentioned, I can confirm that i.MX8MP doesn't support virtual channels.
The i.MX8MP can supports up to 2 cameras with MIPI-CSI interface.

2. Is there another MPU recommended by NXP that could handle this better?

Regarding, our MPU product family i.MX8 you can use the i.MX8Quad Max that supports multiple cameras.
