Hi Team,

We are designing a custom carrier board derived from IMX8M+ EVK reference design. We plan to have only the eMMC chip and not the QSPI flash (ref des "U4" in SCH-46881 EVK) in our design.

Processor Part planned for use: MIMX8ML8CVNKZAB

Our understanding is that QSPI chip is provided in the reference design for evaluation purposes and its possible to use only eMMC. Can you please let us know if our understanding is correct?

Is there anything else we would need to know from a hardware/firmware standpoint as far as QSPI removal is concerned?
