Running Qt application on IMX8 MINI

Hi, I've built a minimal Yocto image for imx8 mini with Qt6 and fsl-imx-xwayland and fsl-imx-wayland as the distro and there is a Qt/Qml application to be run on the board. I have tried a bunch of different configs yet I had no success in running the application. It only runs on linuxfb but I'm trying to run it using either eglfs, x11 or wayland. All are complaining about not finding and connecting the display. How can I run this application on the board using one of the mentioned plugins?

P.S: I am installing qtwayland on the image, I'm also using a bbappend file to enagle opengles for qtbase and the plugins seems to be built and added with no problem.
