nothing in terminal view for debugging.

I use Imx1021 of NXP demo board on Windows 10.

When using Mcuxpresso, nothing is printed in terminal view.
Itried also alternatives with teraterm, same issue.
I changed port configuration number in windows (exemple COM17, COM9…) nothing also.
I cannot use console view in Mcuxpresso.

Does somebody get idea about issue of terminal?

Could you please share the process you are doing to program and execute your application? Are you using an example code from our SDK or a custom code? What about the cable that you are using? Have you tried using a different cable?

Trying to run your simple exemple hello_word in the SDK.

The different cables have same behavior after changing cables, nothing at all in the mcuxpresso terminal and also putty.

the message error is this one: Failed to open port COM4 with selected settings.

in the ports setting , "mbed serial port" is affected to COM4.

Could you share the settings that you are using to complete the connection to COM4? i.e:

Also, have you followed the Getting Started document for the RT1020? Please follow the entirety of this tutorials and let me know if you also get a COM error even after flashing the RT1020 with the hello_world example from the SDK.

hello,

yes sure, I followed the getting started document.

and launch (in image capture the setting of the terminal (using Windows 11).

I will follow again the getting started document,

strange this behavior, but seems that others members of this forum had same issue to log to terminal!

can it come from cable to connect to USB or others..., windows 11 settings... no idea for the moment...

I will try to set a new environment on my Mcuxpresso ... but I am not sure it will help more...

I tried also to set new com in windows see captured images-periph manager) also relaunch new environment with "hello_world" but till same issue.

When trying to change Com port in windows, error message appear "port is used by other application" is triggered (see capture 2024-03-05 080715.png)

Last thing, I have also a message in debugger console :

Program stopped.

0x00215a92 in ?? ()

warning: could not convert 'main' from the host encoding (CP1252) to UTF-32.

This normally should not happen, please file a bug report.

till now, no idea to solve issue, wasting time since 3 days!

Please inform if you have ideas...
