Hi Everyone,

I am trying to understand the power management architecture on i.MX9 series.

Where I am coming from is, we know Power is managed by PMICs. Since initial days only way to regulate power and voltage is through PMIC only through various LDO and Buck Regulators.

But I came to notice that i.MX9 onwards it is marketed as Enerygy flex architecture (Pls find in this link: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/fact-sheet/iMX93FAMFS.pdf), where it is mentioned that we can control the clock frequency and power can be individually controlled.

Can anyone give a insight on how to do this via software commands, except any control via PMIC.

How is it different from i.MX6 and i.MX8 Power management.

@guoweisun @ErikaC @Lambert

FYI. This is the AN talking about i.MX93 power consumption.

https://docs.nxp.com/bundle/AN13917/page/topics/overview_of_imx_93_power_architecture.html

And this is how to reduce the power consumption.

https://docs.nxp.com/bundle/AN13917/page/topics/reducing_power_consumption_0.html
