Without entering academic calculations, what about to just using a PMIC as in a similar EVK ? Such pmics are already providing more than sufficient currents.

Hi Team,

I am using imx8mp. I want to calculate estimated power supply currents NVCC_DRAM by the formula that has been showing in the data sheet as show in below screen shot

Imax = N x C x V x (0.5 x F)
Where:
N—Number of IO pins supplied by the power line
C—Equivalent external capacitive load
V—IO voltage
(0.5 x F)—Data change rate. Up to 0.5 of the clock
rate (F).
In this equation, Imax is in Amps, C in Farads, V in
Volts, and F in Hertz

a)Could please explain me about clock rate 'F' where can i find the clock rate?

b)What is meant by Equivalent external capacitive load(C) and where can i find it?
c)How many pins should i take?

Dear angelo we are entering academic calculations because we are preparing power budget.
