Hello all,

I have this board: https://www.nxp.com/design/design-center/development-boards/i-mx-evaluation-and-development-boards/i-mx-8m-plus-evaluation-kit-enabling-power-measurement:8MPLUSLPD4-PEVK

Looking in the download section all I could find is some zip files with what looks at first glance some linux files, some dtbs, and most importantly a .wic file for use with the dd tool, but I do not know which is the bootloader ( das u-boot ) file.

Linux file: https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=L5.10.9_1.0.0_MX8MP&appType=license

I have a 16 gb sd-card and I want to write manually some files to it ( i have started a separate thread if a standalone shell file exists for this). I am partitioning the sd card like this: BOOT (fat32) and rootfs(ext4).

What file shall i extract to the BOOT partition?

Br, Mircea

imx-boot-imx8mpevk-sd.bin-flash_evk can be the bootloader file to be flashed to SD-Card for your board.

To refer to uuu guide (Release Release uuu_1.5.141 · nxp-imx/mfgtools · GitHub) and the chapter of Booting Linux OS (i.MX Linux User's Guide (nxp.com)) can be helpful for you.

Regards

Thank you Harvey,

I managed to flash the realtime_edge linux on an sd card and boot.

Do you happen to know what I must do to my "minicom" when connecting to the board, I can not send data, but I do receive data, is the board configured to accept UART data from my PC?

Br, Mircea
