    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;I am trying to run the NXP AOSP image (&lt;A href="https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=12.1.0_1.0.0_DEMO_8MP&amp;amp;appType=license" target="_self"&gt;Android 12.1.0_1.0.0 (L5.15.52_2.1.0 BSP)&amp;nbsp;i.MX 8M Plus EVK&lt;/A&gt;)​​​&amp;nbsp;on android emulator as currently the &lt;A href="https://www.nxp.com/design/development-boards/i-mx-evaluation-and-development-boards/i-mx-8m-plus-evaluation-kit-enabling-power-measurement:8MPLUSLPD4-PEVK" target="_self"&gt;8MPLUSLPD4-PEVK&amp;nbsp;board&lt;/A&gt; is not available due to logistic reasons.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The NXP AOSP image is based on ARM from what I understand, but I want to run it on emulator on my local Ubuntu system which is based on x64 architecture. While booting up the android automotive emulator with the above mentioned NXP image,&amp;nbsp;I am getting this issue:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;error: AVD's configuration is missing a kernel file&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is it possible to run NXP AOSP image on a x64 based android automotive emulator?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
