Hi,

We are using IMXRT1176 controller for our instrument cluster application.

MCU will be in sleep mode when our vehicle is not operated.

Wakeup should be done through CAN bus.

CAN transceiver : supports a low-power
standby mode and wake over CAN which is compliant
to the ISO 11898-2:2016 defined wake-up pattern
(WUP).

The low-power receiver and bus monitor circuits are enabled to allow for RXD wake-up requests via the CAN bus. A wake-up request is output to RXD . The MCU RT1176 CAN protocol controller should monitor RXD for transitions (high-to-low) and reactivate the device to normal mode.

Whether our MCU RT1176 is capable of monitoring the CAN RXD pin in sleep mode and can wake up the entire system?

Hi,

Thank you so much for your interest in our products and for using our community.

The FlexCAN module of i.MX RT1170 has two modes for low-power operation (Doze and Stop modes) that support a Self Wake Up mechanism. (Please refer to 66.3.1 Modes of operation section fo reference manual).

Hope it helps you.

Have a nice day!
