At the moment there is no available a document/application note to describe this specific enquiry.

I suggest you check the chapter 15.6.2.4.4 "Display Controller Setup" of reference manual.

If in case the the display driven by imx8 is there a fail safe display available.

I could see that in one of the presentations it was mentioned that if the main display fails. The cortex M4 can provide a 2D graphic display how it works how can I get data
