cockpit:packagekit not installed

I have the package cockpit as part of my image. I have added this recipe,

meta-openembedded/meta-webserver/recipes-webadmin/cockpit/cockpit_220.bb

I have also included the packages in the conf file.

cockpit \
cockpit-pcp \
cockpit-tuned \
cockpit-shell \
cockpit-systemd \
cockpit-users \
cockpit-kdump \
cockpit-sosreport \
cockpit-networkmanager \
cockpit-machines \
cockpit-selinux \
cockpit-playground \
cockpit-docker \
cockpit-dashboard \
cockpit-bridge \
cockpit-ws \
cockpit-desktop

I can see the cockpit service up and running and am even able to access the web version. But I noticed this error in the Software Updates showing "Loading available updates failed" and also it shows Packagekit is not installed.
Please let me know how to solve this error.
