iMX8QM MEK Android Automotive OS 12 Accelerometer and Gyroscope are not available

Hi,

I use automotive-12.0.0_2.1.0_image_8qmek_car2 with below command to flash iMX8QM MEK CPU board.

.\uuu_imx_android_flash.bat -f imx8qm -e

I found Accelerometer and Gyroscope are not available in Kitchen Sink app.

How to enable these sensors?

Hi Dhruvit,

The release notes for the Android OS mention that it supports accelerometer and gyroscope sensors. However, the release notes for Android Automotive OS, an automotive-specific version of Android, do not list support for those sensors, even though Android Automotive runs on the same development board.

So my question is: How can I enable accelerometer and gyroscope functionality in Android Automotive OS?

I hope you are doing well.

->Please make sure to check the FXAS21002 gyroscope driver is configured.
->Please check here menu path: (Top) → Device Drivers → Sensor Drivers

config FXAS21002
->It will enable the driver for the FXAS21002 gyroscope.

->Please make sure to check the ADXL345 Three Axis I2C accelerometer driver is configured.
->Please check here Menu path: (Top) → Device Drivers → Sensor Drivers
config ADXL345
->It will enable the driver for ADXL345 Three-Axis Digital Accelerometer.
