Hello all,

I have a custom board based on the RT1176 processor. Everything was working fine but when testing/debugging something around FlexSPI I loaded a program on the board that prevent the debugger to connect. I got always the same error message, when trying to debug the board but also when trying to erase the flash with the GUI tool
<LI-CODE lang="markup">Probe Firmware: MCU-LINK Pro (r0CF) CMSIS-DAP V2.263 (NXP Semiconductors)
Serial Number: EPQGLZRRF3CNH
VID:PID: 1FC9:0143
USB Path: \\?\hid#vid_1fc9&pid_0143&mi_00#c&35210a53&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}
connection failed - Em(01). Cannot find MEM-AP selected by core index (check target power).. Retrying
Failed on connect: Em(01). Cannot find MEM-AP selected by core index (check target power)
Connected&Reset. Was: NotConnected. DpID: 6BA02477. CpuID: 00000000. Info: <None></LI-CODE>
As I've seen on the RT1020 eval board it is possible to brick a board by software. On the RT1020 EVK the fix was easy (change bootmode and delete the flash) but how do I do this on my custom board? I don't have a dip switch for the boot modes and I don't want to desolder resistors. Is there any other way to recover such a board?

best regards

Matthias
