How to write to i.mx8mn eFuses from userspace

Question in the title. Having a hard time managing to write to eFuses on the i.mx8mn from userspace. Using fuse in u-boot works great though so no problems there. The secure boot guide https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors-Knowledge-Base/Steps-to-enable-secure-boot-in-i-MX8M-Nano/ta-p/1246417 helps little. This talks about how to burn efuses on the i.mx8mn: https://imxdev.gitlab.io/tutorial/Burning_eFuses_on_i.MX8_and_i.MX8x_families/. I do however not see a clear way to get access to the SCFW API in a program or elsewhere. I am not aware of what the "SC_R_SYSTEM" resource is so that explanation is not sufficient. An elaboration of how one can access this API from a C/cpp program would be greatly appreciated
