88W8887 WIFI Not able to start AP/STA mode

Dear sir/mam,

We are trying to do integration of Vendor HAL and drivers of WLAN and BT on Android Q platform with attached text file below named as wifi_readme.

1) Once the module got loaded using the following command
insmod vendor/lib/modules/mlan.ko
insmod vendor/lib/modules/sd8xxx.ko fw_name=nxp/sd8887_wlan_a2.bin cal_data_cfg=none cfg80211_wext=0xf sta_name=wlan wfd_name=p2p drv_mode=0x5 in early_init.cfg while booting.

2) Firmware also got download successfully with below prints
[ 9.088675] Wlan: FW download over, firmwarelen=399832 downloaded 399832
[ 9.544094] WLAN FW is active
[ 9.547082] on_time is 9407047750

3) While setting cfg80211_wext=0xf, we are getting kernel crash related to CFG80211 module.

4) If the cfg80211_wext is not passed while inserting the module using the command:
insmod vendor/lib/modules/sd8xxx.ko fw_name=nxp/sd8887_wlan_a2.bin cal_data_cfg=none sta_name=wlan wfd_name=p2p drv_mode=0x5. Then the interface for both station and ap mode is up and crash is not happening. But, wifi scan is not happening ie both ap and STA mode is not working while testing with android UI.

5) The platform and Wireless chipset mentioned below are used.

NXP Board : i.MX8QXP
Android Q10.0.0_2.6.0 (Linux 5.4.70 kernel)
Wireless Chipset : 88W8887
Package_verison:SD-WLAN-UART-BT-8887-U16-MMC-W15.87.19.p32-15.100.19.p32-C4X15647_A2-GPL
Vendor HAL : V007 Version

6) Attached the error_log below, named as wifi_crash_log for reference.

only 88W8997 is oficially supported in Android Q10.0.0_2.6.0 for i.MX8QXP

as described in Release Notes included in Documentation

In general one can try steps provided in sect.2.2 Configure and start the Access Point UM11490
