Debugging MIMXRT1176 FreeRTOS Hello World . ERROR: Could not connect to target.

I am having difficulties debugging with MCUXpresso using MIMXRT1170-EVK board.. To simplified matters I build a simple sample project 9FreeRTOS Hello World) and keep having trouble getting the J_Link debugger to work with the following errors.

I research a bit on similar issue but without success.

Any ideas? I was able to do the same successfully with the MIMXRT105-EVK.

I found this in the release notes for the MIMXRT117- EVK.

8.5 MCUXpresso IDE doesn't support cm4 download/debug
MCUXpresso IDE doesn't support cm4 download/debug. Flash Erase will fail on Linux/Mac OS. These support will be available
in future MCUXpresso IDE version.

Has this been fixed in a newer version of MCUXpresso?

As for MCUXpresso IDE version 11.4 it does support JTAG for download to the RAM.
Please refer to chapters 1.1 and 10.8 of MCUXpresso IDE User Guide:

I tried your suggestion as referred in the manual but still fails to connect.

My question is in reference to MCUXpresso SDK Release Notes for MIMXRT1170-EVK

section 8.0 : Known Issues. see 8.5 below. I attached a copy of the release notes document.

This issue is still pending. I get the same errors using SEGGER's Ozone IDE.

This issue is still pending and I am not getting any responses from NXP.

I have also tried Segger RTT Viewer with the same results. I Reached out to Segger and the think I am using custom hardware.

Can you please verify that the EVK-MIMXRT1176 does not have debugger issues.
