I use iMX28 + BSP L2.6.35_10.12.01. I configured kernel for using FlexCAN with CAN0 interface. I also added cantest and can4linux packages. I can powe up can device via ip command:

echo 250000 >> /sys/devices/platform/FlexCAN.0/bitrate

ip link set can0 up

and I am able to send and receive messages using cantest command:

cantest can0 71E#DEADBEEF --> send

cantest can0 & --> wait for message

but I don't have can0 device under /dev. So I cannot use, for example, utilities like can_send:

root@freescale ~$ can_send -Dcan0

open error 2;/dev/can0: No such file or directory

How can I add can0 device under /dev?

Thanks.

I’m sorry but I’m not able to change the position of this question.
