In the add on board of I.MX7, PMIC IC used is MAX17135. Currently this component is NRND. So could you please suggest an alternate PMIC for display.

Please let me know. This is something critical.

Hi,

For the i.MX7, I would recommend the PF3000 PMIC, The PF3000 is ideally suited to Cortex® A7 based i.MX 7Solo and i.MX 7Dual application processors to meet low power application requirements.

PF3000: https://www.nxp.com/products/power-management/pmics-and-sbcs/pmics/12-channel-configurable-pmic-for-i-mx6-and-i-mx7-application-processors:PF3000

And you can use the MCIMX7SABRE board as a reference about how to use the PF3000 PMIC for the i.MX7DUAL processor: https://www.nxp.com/design/development-boards/i-mx-evaluation-and-development-boards/sabre-board-for-smart-devices-based-on-the-i-mx-7dual-applications-processors:MCIMX7SABRE

Rgards,

Hi,

We already know that PMIC for I.MX7 is PF300. But in the add on board of I.MX7, the PMIC used for the EPD display is MAX17135. But MAX17135 is going to be NRND. Could you please check an alternative for this?

Hi,

Can you please give more details on the “add on board of I.MX7”, which is this board? Does it has a number/name printed in the board?

Regards,

Hi,

Perfect, thanks for the clarification.

Unfortunately, in NXP we don’t have any PMIC dedicated for E-Paper Applications. The MAX17135 is a PMIC that includes a boost and buck-boost regulators, unfortunately, there is no possible replacement using the current NXP PMIC portfolio. Sorry for the problems this may cause.

Regards,
