imx6 HDMI working status differed by cable plugging

Hello,

My imx6qp board has HDMI,

if my board powered with the HDMI port is plugged to a monitor,

while Android booting, my monitor shows the framebuffer content and

plug & plug to other monitor also works well..

But my board boot up without plugging any HDMI cable,

after booting is done, HDMI is not working.

Cable plugging event is active but no screen output on my monitor.

Please give me any hint.

what bsp used in the case, hdmi cable plugging issues were in old releases as reported for example on

https://www.yoctoproject.org/pipermail/meta-freescale/2014-July/009430.html

May be recommended to try latest nxp releases

https://www.nxp.com/design/software/embedded-software/i-mx-software/android-os-for-i-mx-applications-processors:IMXANDROID

Thank you for your reply Igor,

But my case is opposite, HDMI works only when the cable is plugged at the time power enabled.

After boot up, then I plug the cable, there's no EDID handshaking happens and no display at all.

FYI, my android bsp version is "p9.0.0_2.2.0-ga"

When I power up my board without HDMI cable plugged, below error message occurs.

also looks very similar with below issue

but my kernel parameter contains

"video=mxcfb0:dev=mipi_dsi,ST7703-HD,if=RGB24 video=mxcfb1:dev=hdmi,1920x1080M@60,if=BGR24"

@igorpadykov Is that all? since my recent updates, you didn't mentioned anything..

fb0 is for LCD,

fb1 is for HDMI and boot param has info about it.

When cable is plugged, fb1 is reconfigured and done something about init. but

without cable, it's not.

please try to reproduce issue on NXP Sabre SD reference board with

Demo Image i.MX 6Quad, i.MX 6QuadPlus, and i.MX 6DualLite SABRE-AI

and sorry for my frequent questions.

it was a hardware problem. there was no pull-up register for the HPD pin.
