Hi everyone,

I am using MIMX8MM5DVTLZDA for NXP EVK IMX8MM and MIMX8MM3DVTLZAA for customized board. we are using same part number RAM [MT53D512M32D2DS-053 WT:D] for both the above mentioned boards. we used the same DCD table in uboot for both the boards. But we are facing errors. Customized board is not completely booting . It is stopping middle of kernel . Please let us know for any modifications.

Please find the attached text file for logs

Thanks & Regards

Shamiullah

Hi Shamiullah

for that issue may be recommended to run ddr test (use latest RPA tool) and rebuild image as

described in MSCALE_DDR_Tool_User_Guide.pdf

https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors-Knowledge-Base/i-MX-8M-Family-DDR-Tool-Release/ta-p/1104467

Also recommended to use latest nxp uboot/linux described on

https://www.nxp.com/design/software/embedded-software/i-mx-software/embedded-linux-for-i-mx-applications-processors:IMXLINUX?tab=In-Depth_Tab

Best regards
igor

Hi igor,

Thanks for the suggestion.

Followed MSCALE ddr tool user guide and generated custom uboot binary.

ddr stress test gets success, but when i try to boot the custom board with newly generated uboot, it hangs at

starting kernel ......

after this print i can see a garbage is printing on the console.

Please find the attachment for boot log

Thanks

shami
