topic i.MX6 network driver: How to configure NAPI in kernel? in i.MX Processors

I am evaluating the ethernet receive data rate performance of the i.MX6QP processor using the SABRESD.

(I am aware of the limitation described in errata ERR004512 described in this document https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/errata/IMX6DQCE.pdf)

Reading through on-line discussions about the limitations in the performance throws up some pointers to enabling the NAPI (New API) mode in the kernel. I would like to experiment with enabling / disabling this to see the effects.

However I do not know how to enable the NAPI mode. Can anyone clarify this for me please?

I am using Yocto to build the linux image. If NAPI can be switched on / off using Yocto can someone please tell me which recipe controls this?

Note that I have tried configuring the kernel using Yocto bitbake but I was unable to find any switch in that which looked relevant.

Thank you.
