IMX8 Quadmax MEK Android Automotive 11 touch input support

Hello,

We plan to use 8QuadMax MEK and MX8-DSI-OLED1 touch screen for our R&D project. Android_automotive-11.0.0_1.1.0 is OS.
However, [android_automotive-11.0.0_1.1.0_docs, Android_Release_Notes.pdf, Table 2. Features] only says that for "UI (input)" USB mouse is supported.

What about touch input? Can we use touch screen of MX8-DSI-OLED1 as UI input on 8QuadMax MEK Android_automotive-11.0.0_1.1.0 release?

Could someone help us to answer this question?

The touch screen works on MX8-DSI-OLED but for Android automotive you must check with professional services:

Did you figure out if the it's possible to use this touch screen (MX8-DSI-OLED1) with the Android Automotive 11 [android_automotive-11.0.0_1.1.0] and it's support out-of-the-box ?

@Bio_TICFSL could you please advice on availability of the MX8-DSI-OLED1 with any distributor since we figured out that there is no availability, at lest not online ?

I did not know it yet. I closed this thread because the question needs special support from NXP.

Anyway, MX8-DSI-OLED1 is considered to be small (5.48 inch) for our project, so we are thinking of other approaches.

May be some USB touch screens out there can be used (such as this one https://www.viewsonicglobal.com/public/products_download/user_guide/Display/TD1655/TD1655_UG_ENG.pdf?pass)

We can connect two monitors to IMX8QXP (via USB type C to 4 USB 3.0 Hub) and can use touch on both monitors (OS is Android Automotive 11).
