Hi Salati,

So for the machine file that you selected should be correct, just confirm, that the device that you are using is the i.MX8 quad max with LPDDR4, if yes, the file that you are using is the correct one.

And for boot from the SD card, Please be sure that you have the correct boot mode, you can check the reference manual to check this:

https://www.nxp.com/webapp/sps/download/preDownload.jsp?render=true

And if you need some clues of what to di next you can also check the next link:

Hope this helps you.

Hi,

try to build a sdcard image for a mx8qmlpd4cpu board with "Yocto Project User's Guide - Rev. L5.4.47_2.2.0"

I selected the imx8qmlpddr4arm2.conf file, is this correct?

bitbake image name --> fsl-image-machine-test

With the loaded .wic image to the sdcard, the board don't boot.

Do I need a .sdcard image? If so, how can I create one (with IMAGE_FSTYPES, but I saw it's no-more supported in"image_type.bbclass")?

Hi nxf63675,

Yes, it's a i.MX8 quad max with lpddr4. And the board boots with a very old .sdcard image but not with the new build

Thank you for the links, I tried as described in the manual but the board will not start.

My last attempt was to copy all files manually to the SD, as described in "Linux User Guide - 4.3.1 Preparing an SD/MMC card to boot" but with no success.

Why is there no more a .sdcard image?

What I can try, next?
