Is that the imx6 processor can't do a a/b seamless update or that the software support is there only for the imx8? Is it possible to adjust the software for the imx8 in order for it to work for the imx6 if it isn't a processor limitation?

Reading through the available Android documentation it looks like NXP provides support for Android A/B updates on the i.MX8 but not the i.MX6. Is this due to any limitation on the i.MX6 or should it be possible to add support?

Thanks for the reply - I know i.MX6 supports updates, but they are the non A/B style update where you only have 1 image stored. I need to support the seamless A/B update format where you always have a valid image available to boot from even if an update fails.

yes, I checked that imx6 doesn't support a/b system update, only imx8 does
