Hi all!

I'm on my quest to find ultimate development board for years to come.

I am interested in operating systems, hardware and ARM platform in general and I've

been looking for platform "open enough" to do open source OS and driver development.

Is there any pitfalls according to available documentation? Is there any hidden documentation bits that would make my custom OS development impossible?

I can live without accelerated graphics...

I am quite sure, accelerated graphics are hidden behind binary-only drivers but if I can make framebuffer driver with public documentation at the hand, I am okay with that.

Is this possible?

How about ethernet HW on IMX53QSB? Is it enough to study (and understand) IMX53RM

to able to make driver for it? How about other chips, like audio?

Yours,

Petri

Linux is well supported in this board, so you can use it as a good reference.
