i.MX8M Plus PCIe M.2 Key support

Hi all,

May i know for i.MX8MPlus PCIe, does it support all M.2 module Key A,B,E and M? The eval kit uses Key.E, but we would like to explore if it can do more.

The E specification of the M.2 connector is most optimal for the i.MX8MPlus processor with regard to type and number of interfaces supported. For example, the i.MX8MPlus processor does not directly support SATA, UIM, HSIC, SSIC, and SMBus interfaces and cannot provide 4xDP interfaces.

Thank you for your reply. You mentioned i.MX8MPlus processor does not directly support SATA. What is the meaning of not directly support? What we need to do to make it support SATA?

I mean that the i.MX8MPlus processor doesn't have a built-in SATA controller. To support SATA, an external controler, e.g. PCIe-to-SATA controller, should be used.
