Configure NXP i.MX8M Mini as PCIe Endpoint

Hi,

we have a Variscite evaluation board which includes an i.MX8M Mini. We want to use this as PCIe endpoint, so we have connected it to our host PC using a crossover cable. But in the host PC the i.MX8M Mini is not detected as PCIe device.

How can we configure the i.MX8M Mini as PCIe endpoint?

In the reference manual I only found that the bits 15-12 of "General Purpose Register 12" should probably be set to zero. Is this the way to go?

I don't see anything useful in the dmesg output, also imx-pcie does not appear.

How can I configure it as PCIe endpoint? Or should it be detected out of the box?
