Exploring audio over ethernet

Dear all,

We have supercomputer which is running on windows and an Android device : I.MX8QM running with Android 9 automotive. We need to live stream audio from supercomputer to Android device (imx8qm) and then imx8qm will play it over connected speakers.

1) Source of audio can be anything for ex. local file playing on supercomputer

2) Only connectivity option between supercomputer to imx8qm device is Ethernet (without internet : Supercomputer doesn't have Ethernet. imx8qm has WiFi connectivity option available)

1) In order to achieve above requirement what can be the suitable design options ?

2) AVB is suitable in above case ?

Hello Amit,

The i.MX8QM can run run this task without major efforts, you just need to send the audio streamer and gstreamer or other codec will play it. if you like to see a complete design of this, the AVB for that you need to be in contact with professional support.
