Hello

I would like to install PyEIQ on my i.MX 8QuadPlus MEK eval kit. My Eval board is BO. I installed demo BSP version L5.4.24_2.1.0_MX8QXPB0. The BSP package has "imx-image-multimedia-imx8qxpmek.wic". I created a SD card using this wic file and the board boots up fine.

The PyEIQ installation instruction can be found here https://pyeiq.dev/1_getting_started/1_1_install_users.html

The installation requires pip3. The BSP "BO" version I installed does not have pip3. It does have python 3.7.

Can someone give me some guidance on how to install PyEIQ on i.MX 8QuadPlus MEK eval kit "BO" version?

Thanks

Hi Sivashankar,

You used the multimedia and not the full BSP image, this might be the reason you did not get pip3 installed. Try to use the imx-full-image and let us know.

Please refer to the newest document of PyeIQ: https://community.nxp.com/community/eiq/blog/2020/06/30/pyeiq-a-python-framework-for-eiq-on-imx-processors

I also have a suggestion for you, when you have some question related to eIQ I think it would be better if asked on eIQ community, with that it is easier for us to track it

Thanks,

Diego

Hi Diego

That is what I think also. But unfortunately I do not see a full image wic file in BO version of BSP. The CO version of BSP has the full image wic file. My board is a BO board. The BO version BSP " L5.4.24_2.1.0_MX8QXPB0 " does not have the full image wic file.

Thanks

Shankar
