Hello all,

I am new to Embedded Linux development. Currently I am able to build a Yocto 2.6.4 i.e. Poky Thud with yocto-freescale-thud. I am doing this for "imx8 mini development board". My aim is to run simple LED blink application on Development Board. Eclipse has some problem installing Yocto Plugins because of company network. So looking for alternaive for Eclipse, In Yocto mega manual saw some development tools Like CROPs, devtool, eSDK, Toaster.

I am searching on internet but not getting proper tutorial for it.

Please let me know how i can solve this? Looking for step by step guide for BLINK LED application on imx8 development board.

Thank you

Hello,

Probably I get a little bit confused with your question.

But, as my suggestion. Use GCC to compile your own custom applications. You can make it with our toolchain. For that, I suggest you see the following Documents.

Task #7 - Create the toolchain

Task #8 - Build kernel manually using created toolchain

And for the whole training. You can find it below:

https://community.nxp.com/docs/DOC-94849

Hope this information may help you.

Best regards,

Diego.
