For undisclosed reasons we have all CPU_SOC types enabled and we are only using the IMX6SX.

CONFIG_SOC_IMX53=y
CONFIG_SOC_IMX6=y
CONFIG_SOC_IMX6Q=y
CONFIG_SOC_IMX6SL=y
CONFIG_SOC_IMX6SX=y
CONFIG_SOC_IMX6UL=y
CONFIG_SOC_IMX7=y
CONFIG_SOC_IMX7D=y
CONFIG_SOC_VF610=y

What effect does it have when many SOC types are enabled? Does it make the kernel image bigger? Will the kernel image work on the other SOC type without changes?

Leonardo
