      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi All.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i need to timer expiry calculation in micro sec, whose value is feed by user space using ioctl, but want to whats the best way to timestamp which is used in IRQ calls for example&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;serial_IRQ....{&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;// read byte for every byte&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;// get time stamp in usec ...???&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;}&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. this should take care of roll over&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. i&amp;nbsp;am&amp;nbsp; using a do_gettimeofday() will it delay the irq ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
