Hi all,

I would like to ask if there's support for IMX8 with Android and GMS (Google Mobile Services).

I heard some roumors that CTS, which is mandatory for GMS, will fail when using an IMX8.

Hello,

Google Mobile Services needs to be provided by Google. Our BSP does not have it by default. Furthermore. I suggest you contact Google. There are needed those Google services to pass the CTS test.

Does that mean that when we do the GMS certification/licensing, there's no support for IMX8 when CTS will fail ?

I am asking because I heard that with IMX8, GMS certification may fail and there's no support from NXP in this case ?

Hello,

What I am trying to say, is that you run the CTS test with our BSP it will fail in that part because it does not have by default the Google Media Services. Those services are provided directly by Google and you need to install them on your own.

I am also planning to use the IMX8M Plus process for GMS. Any suggestion?
