tiny images for newbies

I would like reduce Linux image size for iMXSoloX module. Is it possible to create poky-tiny images with Yocto? Please help me, what should I do?

PS: linux-imx 4.9.11

Hi Alexey,

For such build scenario, you could select the “core-image-minimal” option when building. Please refer to Table 1 “i.MX Yocto project images” and to section 7.2 “Creating a custom board configuration” of the “i.MX Yocto Project User's Guide” document (included on “L4.9.11_1.0.0_LINUX_DOCS” package) for additional details about this.

Thank you for answer! Target core-image-minimal does not look as solution. The size of build image is lower that other targets, but too bigger than I need.

I hope you have addtional info how to build tiny kernel. Whould you share it?
