Hi, it appears that there is some difference in the specifications of the RAM capabilities in the i.MX8. Are you able to clarify please?

Document: IMX8QMAEC_Rev. H, page 2 & 6
64-bit LPDDR4 @1600 MHz, 64-bit DDR4 @ 1200MHz

Document: IMX8QMAEC_Rev. H, page 8
2 channels of 32-bit memory
LPDDR4 up to 1.6 GHz
DDR4 up to 1.2 GHz

So are they 64-bit or 32-bit?

Regards,
Peter

Hi，

The i.MX8QM support 64bit LDDR4 and DDR4. There are two channels of 32-bit memory, channel 0 and channel 1, together are 64bit. Hope this can do help for you.

Have a nice day

Rita

Hi,

I want to check if i.MX8QuadMax (or i.MX8QuadPlus) still supports regular DDR4 interface? Or only LPDDR4?

i.MX8QuadMax / i.MX8QuadPlus datasheets are listing only LPDDR4 and specifiying DDR VDDQ voltage as Typ. 1.1V, complaint with LPDDR4 spec, but not with regular DDR4.

Is there a way to use regular 1.2V 16-bit DDR4 discrete chips with 8QuadMax or with 8QuadPlus?

thanks,

Selcuk
