Hi Teju,

Just one recommendation. When we use our channels as hosts, we use to place current limiters at VBUS just to make sure the USB max current specification is not exceeded. You can find examples of this in our reference designs.

Best regards.

Jorge.

Hi,

I request a review of the USB circuits designed for the IMX.53. We intend using both the on chip USB's as hosts.

Thanks

Teju

I do not see "criminals" on the scheme, assuming the i.MX53 OTG will be always used in host mode (ID is grounded).

If you are running both as host ports, do you need to connect USB_OTG_VBUS and USB_H1_VBUS to +5V via an RC filter, or can it be left floating?

I can't find the purpose of the VBUS pin in the literature. I'm assuming it is only used by the OTG port when it can operate as either an A or B port; to detect when external VBUS is applied. Is that correct?
